how are the new toys working
i know everyone has gotten toys for xmas and hopefully we have all had a chance to try them out by now. How are they doing for you?
i posted before about my ion auger and now have finally got a few holes under the belt. still really like it but found it to cut out the other day with 2 bars still on the battery. course i had left it outside in -12C for over an hour before trying to use again. So i guess we should be careful about how cold this battery gets. pretty sensitive by my guess. im already on my second set of blades. guess 40 holes on one charge and a set of blades should also be mentioned. someone else stated the blades were poor quality. see how long these ones last at 45.00 a set.
Dropped my marcum panner into the hole this week. took it home and opened it up. they have a really nice rubber seal on the bottom that is a bit difficult to reposition when putting batteries back in. however the whole rotating bit at the end is wide open to the internals of the motor. so the motor was soaked. glad i took it apart.
camera is a real treat. gives alot of information about what fish are in the area or are ignoring your presentation. etc. i enjoy seeing them from different perspectives. ie. their level. anyone who hasnt gotten one should pick one up. they make fishing so much more interesting. i dont know what effect they have on scaring fish off etc. but my fishing has sucked lately whether i have it down or not. nuff said.
