I would say buy the sask license and go to pierce. I am from Alberta, likely won't buy another Alberta license. Sask fishing is far better.

Pretty much all of the bigger lakes do. Turtle, brightsand, peck, little fishing, ministikwan, all of the lakes at loon lake. I don't know why anyone would waste their time on those oily, wormy things other than for bear bait. Plenty of walleye, perch and pike in that area for better eating.

I commercial whitefished with my dad in Saskatchewan for close to 20 years and never had a whitefish that was wormy...and seldom oily either. Tullibee which are smaller and similar in looks to a whitefish are like that though...

if you are looking for whites on the alberta side Marie lake up by bonnyville is good, so is kehiwin north of elk point, but like the above posts, just get your sask license and go to turtle, loon lake, peck, littlefishing, ministikwan etc

Marie lake can be good. Was there a couple days ago and nothing. Be prepared for wormy whitefish there though
