Today I got a hug from an amazing young lady, thanks entirely to Leo and Cowmanbob.

See today I delivered the scope donated by Cowmanbob to Leo's Christmas giveaway.

I have known this young lady since she was in kindergarten. My wife used to babysit her and her sister.
I have never seen her so happy. Thrilled hardly covers her reaction.

Gentlemen, you did a great thing. Thank you both for permitting me a small part in your generosity.

Together you made a young hunter's Christmas very special.

I actually teared up.

It was so awesome to witness her response.

Knowing we have people on this site that do such things give me hope for the future, and I suspect that is in part what triggered her response.

That is, realizing that strangers care about her, when the world around her seems to be going sideways, has to feel awesome.

You did good my friends.

Girl got her gift yesterday!! Loves it! Only problem was she went to the gun cabinet and asked which was hers to put it on 😩! Ended up I lost 2 out of this deal. Got a .22 and a .270😂. Good thing she’s a great kid!!

I recognize that tone. Been there myself. Makes a fellow stand a bit straighter and smile a bit wider.

There is no feeling like seeing ones child make good choices.

Those who offered gifts to strangers through this have gone above and beyond and made what stood to be a dismal Christmas, very special for some well deserving young folks.
