Default Sandblasting-calgary

Well I ripped apart my old trailer and was going to give it a quick paint and new deck. It really could use some sand blasting....I really don’t have much cash for the project. It’s kind of a special trailer, it’s the last one my dad built before he died and I’d like to refurbish it...but times are tough!

Where can I get it blasted?

You still have that thing ? I was just thinking along similar lines, my old stock trailer is badly in need of some TLC.. Wondering if Consolidated Compressor is still in business ? Down near the South Pick and Pull, a do it yourself operation and very reasonable when you're done.

I've used Consolidated Compressor's self serve yard before, but I bet that Covid will make it a no-go to use the 'town bicycle' pressurized blast hoods. They probably offer blasting service though.

I used to have Mobile sandblast rig back in the 80 early 90s. Just a small 2 man operation and lots of guys would bring me small jobs like that for cash money. I gave a break on the price . It was always nice to have a little cash job . Find a smaller outfit and chances are they will accommodate you for cash and you don’t have to get dirty.

Default Diy

Ya, the place is called Consolidated Compressors and the COVID thing has put a serious crimp in their business. I just spoke to them and apparently they allow a max of 7 clients per day (they have 7 masks) and after that they are shut down for the day. They also have some new rules around PPE that you need to bring.

Give them a call for all the details. I think they are the only ones doing DIY in the area right now.

Wire wheel on a grinder perhaps?

I started with the angle grinder and flap disks. Takes too long and not thorough enough. I saw the consolidated website but haven’t contacted them yet.

It's been a while. Just for old times sake.

Of note, consolidated compressor has other media to blast with other than sand. They will also turn your trailer with their fork lift. As a long time user, earplugs are a must!!!

If your interested in having someone come too you let me know and I’ll find his number.
Fella came to our place blasted a flatbed for me. Easy for me and I think it was $300 or less.

Give Rob at Natech a call. He is located just east of Calgary near Delacour.

Default Check Out

U-Wrench Calgary. I've never used them but their website indicates they have a booth for rent and a bunch of other services.
