Default Seasonal Lease RV site on Lake

Looking for suggestions on a rv resort that does seasonal leases 3.5hrs from Cochrane/Calgary.

Looked at Gull and most are strata...and I'm coming up empty/frustrated to find any that are lease-able...

Any recommendations??

Wilderness village is across the road from Crimson lake. Just a short bike ride. With young kids, we find the place amazing. Not a lease but you buy into the resort.

Default I'll second

for Wilderness, we usually camp there a few times a year and the kids love it. Tons to do, pretty spot and quite close to home. Day trips to Ram Falls or Abraham Lake are easily done. Not sure about ownership or membership though I have heard a few members complain about some recent cash calls for renos etc.

They do RV storage as well and will even set your unit up if you are a member. We get everything we need as drop in mind you.

Last cash call was for the new pool 4 years or so ago.

They will haul it out and dump your sewage but everything is for a fee. Great for people who don’t have trucks and just get their rv towed out there.

Wood is part of your yearly fees as well and you never have to book in advance is my favorite part. If it’s sunny we camp, if it isn’t we stay home. 2 hours from Calgary. Also boat storage and quad storage as well for a fee. Can access the trails from the storage compound.

Pigeon lake where I’m at on the north side is right on the golf course and the boat launch I can see pretty good from my front deck.. I’m also selling my spot here! But there’s a few in the park with empty lots if a fella wants just that.. ours has had lots of things added over 18 years here..

How you do find the distance between trailers? Any privacy at all?

I'm so torn between something like that or just buying a 1/2 lot where I can do as I wish. My kids would love the social experience of a campground but i feel they would miss out on the outdoor experience I always had growing up surrounded by crown.

My aunt has been with wilderness village since the early 80’s. We go out once or twice a year with our trailer and stay in a double site with her. Absolutely love it! What a place for kids! We have been talking about becoming members ourselves but it’s not in the cards this year unfortunately.

Some of the nicest campsites around! There are a couple areas where the trailers are really close (public rental area) but there are also areas where you are relatively isolated as well. Not completely isolated like crown but lots of options to get away from people if you want. There are quad trails out the back that lead to crown property. Bike trails that head around Crimson lake. Have a look at it on google maps. It is south of crimson lake.
