Default Online archery purchases

Quick question to you guys and gals. Where do you buy most of your archery and hunting related gear online?

I know most of us like to shop local and support the nearby archery shops, and for the large ticket items I do as well. No one wants to buy a bow without at least holding it in their hands first, and if it's a rest or sight, or strings that may require an expert to install then the local shops are the obvious choice. But the same is not really neccessary for the small stuff, broadheads, fletchings, wrist slings, quivers, cases, and stuff like that. I have no problem ordering many things from online retailers, I don't need to go to a pro-shop to buy new nocks for arrows, or to see which broadhead to buy.

There are several onlne retailers in the States that I have bought from in the past, Lancaster, Bowhunters International, even Amazon. the problem is most of these places charge an arm and a leg to ship even little stuff up here, is there somewhere better? A Canadian company that doesn't charge rediculous shipping costs?

I have bought direct...or used usually from the US if I can't find what I need at our stores up here. Usually go to AT to find stuff.

Most dealers and PRO shops can get most of what shooters want...or can try to get and ship to you l;ocal also...probably cheaper in the long run...

Most folks only look at the catalog price, never at the tax, duty, exchange, shipping, and over-sized parcel charges.

In some cases you may save, but I try to support my local shops.

The only gripe I have is the amount of time it takes if you need something a little different. Particularly target gear.

Those answers all make sense. I have bought used from AT as well as several of the major US based online retailers. I just asked today because I just made purchases this week from several different places and paid a small fortune in shipping for some, no shipping for others, and just started to think about where others are getting stuff. Lancaster certainly has a good selection, as does Bowhunters Int'l, but shipping from both up here gets a little rediculous sometimes.

Default Where to buy?

I buy from a few places, AT is a good place to trade and sometimes buy and sell, I sold a release there yesterday and bought a stab there today. I buy a lot of things from Lancaster in the US because they usually have what I want. I buy most of my bows from my local Hoyt dealer. And I like the "Archers Nook" in London Ontario and have bought quite a few things from them. I also buy regular items from my local dealer. Cheers

I've bought stuff from Bow unters Supply Store and they were great. I've also purchased from Bowhunters Superstore and they were horrible, hands down the worst experience I've ever had purchasing online.

I also like to support the local shops, but recently the prices online have increased. plus your shipping. I have found my archery gear to be cheaper and faster through local retailers.
