Well naturally I assumed 5 bucks as one heck of a deer hunt LOL
Good Hunting,
Growing up my buddy had a beagle that would put the run on them and we'd take them with a 410

And here I thought you were bragging about how much money you made picking bottles!!! (Just Kidding!!)

With this economy, this may become Alberta's primary industry!!

But all the same, the wabbits should still taste OK!

Click bait!!
5 years ago I would see 30 rabbits on a walk. Today I would be lucky to see 1. Cycles of the numbers must be at the low end.

Thanks all

Rem 597 4x Bushnell Scope 30 shot magazine

38 grain American Eagle

most are 1 shot but if I miss I have been know to send 7 more for the score

also u could get 5 in one shoot then move too another area

they are just starting back up here on their cycle

when you see all the tracks in the snow after driving 45km on old trail/roads

you come up with names for the hare runs

Bunny hop road/ Rabbit speed-way/Hare Trail Ave

Then you walk in 20 yards and you see poop every where

when in rabbit areas you will see all of these

Elmer Fudd is still the Master Wabbit Hunter

https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q...10DE&FORM=VIRE

wow are there still a lot of rabbits by their tracks

fun fun fun

David

Food for thought

Man I dunno what am I doing wrong but I see more rabbits in my city neighbourhood than when I’m in the woods! For the past 4 years me being hunting, I had only harvested one! And only by fluke, I was chasing the grouse and almost stepped on a poor bugger!

On an unrelated question- I have the same rifle and the same mag, lately I noticed the rifle stoped liking the mag, it jams after every second shot. The original 10 round mag is working fine....

You sure get a lot of them! Pretty awesome! How long does it take for the population to come back to an area for hunting there again?

Not a rabbit hunter but I sure enjoy your pictures and stories on getting out. Congratulations on the harvest and getting out.
