Priority 20 elk
If you were a priority 20 on elk, where would you apply ? And is there access to private land ?
Willing to hire a guide/Outfitter also

Likely a mountain zone boarding a park and waiting for bad weather/rut to hopefully bring them across the boundary line. But this is the type of hunt I prefer. Somehow chasing elk on the prairies doesn't do it for me. Not saying there is anything wrong with it, its just not for me. Mountain/foothills elk hunting especially on horseback is a hard hunt to beat in my opinion.

I would be surprised if that bull went 300inches.

I’m assuming it’s not priority 20 in WMU 300 which has the separate priority points... so, pm me with what kind of hunt you prefer and what kind of bull you are looking for and I’ll do my best to give you some ideas about what is out there. Hope I can help,
Jonah

I’m not looking for a foothills or horseback hunt, I spend enough time in the hills as it is.
This is purely looking for best odds, at the biggest bull in the province. I’m assuming the southern 100’s in the prairies ? But again looking at all options

That one is no where near 300” but with a muzzleloader it’s worth it weight in the freezer!

Tork... you of all people should have a handle on where to put in a 20yr elk draw.

I checked out of Wainwright at noon today and only 3 elk were taken at that point. 2 were from our hunting party and one from the guy during muzzle loader season
I wouldnt waste a 20 yr priority on the base when the success rates are extremely low.

Bull Elk
ITs too bad Tork but I am not sure where you could draw a tag in the province of Alberta that would produce a trophy bull with a priority 20. I am in the same boat with a high priority for bull elk just holding onto the priority. If they didn't kill 2800 bull elk in Suffield back a couple of years ago you would have had a chance at a trophy bull. Sorry good luck but I would hold out unless someone else has some other thoughts and ideas for you...

I figured out right away what you meant from your comments. You never said this year or camp wainwright in your comments.
OP probably has bull elk priority, not either sex priority. That rules out a hunt in camp wainwright .
You'll need to real thorough in your explanations. Some on here, that think they know everything, really don't.

I have a pretty good idea yep, but I like hearing others.
I’m not likely going to drive 12 hours to scout though.

I can go that route too, and I’ve been there to see it although I wasn’t hunting myself.
Hoping to harvest one good one in my home province

don't know about 106, but don't think you'll find a monster bull in 108 anymore.......when it opened there were some monster bulls down here.
