Default Been using it for years and no issues

I've only used the Vexilar. I'm used to setting the transducer out of the hole when reeling in a fish. I like that it is not a LCD screen, which tend to have issues when it gets really cold. (never a problem when ice fishing, but thought I'd drop it out there)

Default Great deal on the buy and sell right now

This unit right here is the best deal anyone will find. I chatted with the owner via text and he sent me pics. You could repackage the darn thing and take it back to the store it is that new. Used once. Owner is a straight shooter.

BTW, 1/10th of one percent of Vexilar's are returned for issues. I run one for this very reason. They are simply bulletproof. You will not be disappointed in this unit and it is a great deal.

I have a Helix 7 and have some waypoints on it but the phones nowadays have such good gps I actually prefer to use that in the winter just for the handiness. Any point I mark in summer on my fishfinder I mark on my phone. The accuracy is really good as well as nice and compact. Navionics has an app or if your lucky and know someone who can geo reference depth charts that is another route to go. From my experiences I don't know why you'd need much more. The gps on the fishfinder is definitely nicer to use in the summer though.

I would suggest jumping into the humming bird helix model, I run a helix 5 ice fishing bundle and it works awesome, and the gps is handy to have to. My buddy has a helix 7 and the bigger screen is a lot better but his seems to suck back the battery ,
