The funny thing on the play, is that Meier got an assist!

Maybe, but the refs also missed Perron's delay of game when he blatantly flipped it over the glass, Blais's hit on Braun that was clearly a head shot, and the St. Louis hand pass to Schwartz when he missed the empty net.

I too like it slowed down, big screen tv and a broadcaster pointing out the errors...imagine what it's like at ice level....the officials need help as in a off ice official that has 30 seconds to review the goal etc and if needed a discussion and a final call made.
No perfect answer but if we have so many eyes on and after the fact discussions the officials need assistance or we revert back to the old ways....the call stands...no challenges etc.

What's wrong with good old fashioned hockey. Let the officials call the game and forget about the video review BS. It's to the point you don't even want to watch the game as they drag a game out for 3 hrs. You may as well just have one guy out there to drop the puck and call the game from the press box. The officials view is totally different then the 100 cameras they have set up around the rink to take video of every angle possible.

Unfortunately we are going the other direction.....one thing will not change....make a call and 50% hate you, make another call and the haters now luv you......

Perfect scenario for the Bruins! Sweep and the other series goes to at least 6 games. The Big Bad Bruins are going to win 4 playoff series in 2 months. That’s the same amount the shiddy flames have won in 30 years. LOL!

Then again Boston has won more Stanley Cups in this century, than all of the Canadian teams combined.

And there are almost a dozen teams that have never won it.

I hope the Blues beat the Sharks.
It’ll be the 1970 cup finals all over again. I don’t think anyone will beat the Bruins this year. But it’d be nice if the Blues won one cup!

Someone that has never won it is going to get a chance, although the Blues have been in the league alot longer than the Sharks have been.
Once Calgary, Pittsburgh, Winnipeg, and Toronto were eliminated, I stopped watching. Didn't really want the Sharks to win as I'm not a fan of Kane, but it would be nice to see Joe get one and I do like Burns, Karlsson, Pavelski, and MEV.

Eh I think the Blues will give them a run for the cup. They will be rested, but also rusty. Should be a good final provided the Refs don't decide who wins. This year that could be a factor.
Would be nice to put the cup in the west.

I follow along, box scores, highlights, articles, etc., just don't usually make the time to watch.

Agreed. It's also interesting that the NHL teams with the highest (Blues at 18) and lowest (Bruins at 4) number of Canadians on their teams are meeting in the final...

My buddy’s son plays for Boston. We had a quick chat before he heads to Boston to watch the first two games. Excited is an understatement

I'm not counting St Louis out, they have been playing well. I will take Blues in 6.

I wouldn’t be writing the Blues off just yet. Who would have bet Tampa Bay, Pittsburgh would get swept. Boston had to go to game seven against Toronto so that series wasn’t a gimme. St Louis was last place in the league in January and are now in the final. They were the best team the second half of the season so to write them off is premature Anything can happen in the playoffs and this year is no exception.

Jake DeBrusk or Danton Heinen, by chance? Assuming his kid isn't Marchand or Bergeron - that's it for the number of Canadian players on the team.
I think the series goes 7

I didn't realize how few Canadians were on the Bruins. Just so happens their two best players are Canucks

No more than 6 and probably 5. Bruins will not be beat.
Underdogs seem to make the finals but rarely win it.

I don't know if it's even fair to call St. Louis an underdog. They were a favourite at the beginning of the season and had a slow start. After the slow start, they were the best team in the NHL and have beat three good teams to get to the final.

Sure I will put up a bottle, straight up. Doesn't matter amount of games just win the cup. I will take Blues.

I definitely wouldn't call them underdogs. They are 30-10-5 since January.

Weird, Tuukka Rask doesn't sound "Canadian" to me.

Pretty much says it all. I’d put blues as the favourite to win.
