Default Fishing round Lethbridge?

I'm off to lethbridge this weekend and I'm getting Sunday as a relax day (fishing day) where is good to go around the area? I know the SSR runs thought and near it but I don't know what's in there round there.

Any help is appreciated

It's actually the Old Man River that runs through Lethbridge, not the SSR. You'll find mostly warmer water species around Lethbridge... pike, walleye, sauger, goldeye... maybe the odd trout, but the trout generally are farther upstream.

There are a couple of lakes in Lethbridge, Henderson and Nicholas Sheran, but I haven't fished either since I left there quite a few years ago. Henderson was mostly pike and perch, Nicholas Sheran had some trout.

What kind of fishing do you want to do? There are a few irrigation reservoirs in the area with pike / walleye / whitefish, or trout lakes to the south / west, depending on if you're willing to drive for a while.

Do you have a Boat?
Ridge reservoir has boat rentals, small aluminium skifs, or St Mary's Reservoir would be my first choices, both have walleye, pike, trout, as does Keho lake. Not to far out of town, 45 min drive.
I've caught sturgeon in the Old man, right in town beside the weir. Also had some luck fishing the irrigation canals south and east of town. Canals would be my last pick this time of year.

There are lots of small pike at park lake and in Henderson (within Lethbridge). Apparently the university pond has pike as well.
