Default Coyote Hunters

Hey,

I am looking for someone to come out and call/shoot some coyotes on my land. Just over this cold snap they have came up and killed 4 deer in my bale yard.

Location is Hoadley Alberta

Thanks,

If i wasn't busy i would be in.
chase up a trapper, cause after the first round or 2 of calling they will have smartened up and then snaring is best.

This ^^

You can beat a trapper their methods work 24/7 without anyone present.

Default What have you tried?

Have you had a shot or two at them? As has been said, if you call them they learn fast, but if you can get one or two without calling, then calling should get the rest.
I've used a fawn bleat, then shook the barbed wire fence as hard as I could. They came on the run.
Good luck.

Have you had a shot or two at them?

Even if you miss, they learn real quick.

Thanks,
I would take you up on your offer but I won’t be able to do it until Wednesday next week..
And please don’t shoot at them “just because”- they will learn and won’t come out if they hear or see a vehicle…
That will make hunter’s job much more difficult. Don’t know how many yotes you have there, but me and my buddy can shoot 4-5 dogs at the same time if they come out to the call…

Maybe it's a good thing. With hay prices thru the roof. Wish we had some coyotes. We have over 120 mule deer in our hay yard, silage pit and around the bins. It's scary driving into the yard after dark.

Lol. Yep. I guess we thought we needed to kill every coyote in a 100 mile radius

That can't be right, you must be mistaken.
If you kill all the coyotes, you end up with even more coyotes. All the experts say so!

Just buy some weighted tennis balls that will do the trick.

My theory says, you're not obviously killing enough coyotes.
