Night Shift
I see a lot of the same guys on here late at night or the wee hours of the morning and was wondering how many work nights ????
Iv'e been on the dusk till dawn thing now for 15 plus years.....it has become normal for me ....and I must confess to liking the free time during the day to get out shooting P-dogs and such during the prime daylight hours !!!!
That and no traffic jams, line ups at the bank, vacant isles and parking spots at the grocers etc ........

I have been working shift work for 30 years now and I also enjoy the time off during the week and such for hunting in the fall when everyone else is at work during the week....... It does suck when you have to work x-mas and and holidays but life is not easy sometimes.

28/28
At the moment I am at work, 300 NM offshore Angola on a drillship. I work 28 days and go home for 28 days. My job sucks, but I like the 28 days off especially during the hunting season.

Well i'm in Japan so there is a a 15 hr difference, so its 18:34 while it's 03:34 in Edmonton, i usually prefer to work nights because no one from the office is complaining about stuff at 3 in the morning. Heading back to the rig tommorow and am kinda forced to work days which sucks big time but hopefully it will be only for a week or so.

10 years now. 4 on 4 off....alternates days and nights. Used to be 2 weeks in 2 out.
Prefer the 4x4 because it's in town Not a bad shift

41 years of shiftwork - a variety of schedules. latest 4 on 4 off, which was my favorite - 5 12 day breaks every year on top of vacation time. As you get older, the shifts do get harder to adjust to.
But as of May 1st I am permanently unemployed - nothing to do now but fishing, quading and spending time with the grand children!! LOL!!

Been doing shift work since 1981. Did some 8 hr shift work for a couple of years (days, afternoons, nights, but didn't like it.) I prefer the 12 hr shifts. Tried the 9 to 5, five days a week for two years and hated it. I love my long stretches of "days off" that I get from working 12 hr shifts.
