Default Keeley Lake

I’ve heard from a few different sources keeley was netted a lot harder then normal over the winter. Any truth to it?

Pretty sad what happens on this lake from a netting stand point. I seen literally a 5 km span of nets with at least 6+ trucks full of people draining this lake for multiple weeks. I refuse to even drive to this lake anymore because of the netting that takes place here. What makes this even more sad, its the same people that ruined their own lake up north and now they are destroying Keeley.

I fished here 2 times this Winter and the fishing was absolutely terrible both times which made my decision easy.

A few years back there used to be a line of trees planted across the lake and the nets had to stay on one side only. The last few years nobody has installed the marker line and the nets go wherever they want. I have a friend who goes there regularly and he said that it was worse. He even said one of the guys told him "we've netted out Canoe and now we're working on Keeley".

Netting is always bad there, but much, much worse on Canoe.
