Default How much snow is on spray lakes?

Hihi

Was reading that some areas of Spray need snowshoes to get to. I haven't been to Spray in a couple years ice fishing, but I'll be heading that way in just over a week - with 2 newbies who haven't really been fishing before! Gonna be great.

Thinking Spray would be a good place, near Calgary, but I'm not sure about how much snow is out there. We won't have a shack or anything. Hopefully the weather is decent.

Would anyone happen to know about the snow? Or have any recent pictures? Also, is Spray a bad idea to take newbies to? I love it out there but I dunno.

Thanks!

Default Spray lake

Might be a good idea to proceed with extreme caution, the ice rots out from underneath, may be thick in one area, but not another. Close to shore first to go, saw a dog go through in late march a few years ago, once in hard to get out------
