Default RFMA licence over charged.

How many of you RFMA holders were over charged on your licence?
The new computer system F&W is using charges $10 extra.
Last fall i argued with them but was told to bad. This year i paid according to
what the trapping regs state and not a dollar more.
I had a retired warden back me up at the office.
Check your licence, $10 on 1600 some licences is some change.

Regs state $40 on first 2 township, and $10 for each township after that.

Same thing happened to me last year. They said the recalculated all the line sizes and put them in the computer. I was always told my line was just under 2 townships and I requested what size they were using. They got back to me and said my line is 2.1 townships so now I have to pay the extra $10.

I have had a question about line sizes for a while and maybe youguys can help. I figured when I bought the line I would have been given some sort of info on what my boundaries are and exactly what size it is. I got nothing. I have some maps from the last trapper to look at to give me a rough idea and told it is 7.5 Townships but I don't have anything from Fish and Wildlife stateting this is true. I think I got charges $80 for my license. Not sure what would be correct or not. Is there a way to get mor detail about your line boundaries and size?

F&W has the boundary descriptions free for the asking. They'll just run a photocopy for you, no problem.

Bullgetter, if they charge you for the third township, that means
your quota is for 3 twnship as well.

Nube, the office should have a folder full of info on the line from the previous trappers with all the fur reports from each year. A detailed map is in there as well. I made a copy of all the old fur records back into the 80's.
Easy to see the highs and lows over the years.

As for your line, $80 is the max they charge once it goes over 6 township i believe.

No lease on the cabin site.
The retired warden that was in the office that day said it was a
screw up in the system that needs be corrected in the future.
It was his suggestion to pay the amount listed in the regs, otherwise
It will never change as long as the gov in gaining $$.
Gov should be held accountable for the guidelines in the regs and
what they charge using the new system.

Jim that is how I understand it but will have to clarify with them. It would help being able to have a higher fisher quota so I do not have to pull marten sets early.

Deff check into it, the warden told us if any part of your line goes into the
next township and you paid for it, then go by that extra quota.
