When I was young and dabbled in the forbidden arts, we used to buy Safety fuse, 30 sec./ft. from Explosives limited in Calgary. Think this is what you're looking for.

Thanks, I've been looking all over for this stuff too! Cabelas used to sell it, they also sold mini 50cal cannons, used to be available almost everywhere! I haven't been able to find any for a few months now.

I saw 4 packages of it down in Red Deer last weekend at the sporting goods store over by Costco. I can't remember the name of the store.

Rusty woods locally in BC has fun stuff like that...

Is there any way anyone could hunt ethically and legally with a cannon?

Smile If you are really keen?

The old gunners on Royal Navy ships and Pirates too used goose quills filled with black powder. It is not hard to get a cannon to fire, the key to accuracy is getting it to fire when you want it to.

On the Victory (Nelson's ship at Trafalgar) used a flint lock like a musket "remember boys fire on the crest"!

Sounds like fun. Do you have pictures?
