Default Pole Shed - Cost ?

We are in the market for a pole shed.

Looking at pricing to have the shop built. This will be a very simple design, as the building will be used exclusively for vehicle and equipment storage (cars, trucks, boats, RV, etc etc).

Probably 40 x 60 or 40 x 80, gravel floor (I can prep gravel base no problem), a few windows (4), man door, simple overhead door (manual, maybe 10' or 12' - enough to clear a good sized RV, suggestions on height??), metal siding and roof.

What am I looking at for Cost?? Red deer area. Thanks.

Neither, I'm guessing concrete would add 30g or more.

I did a 42 x 60 x 16, 4 windows, man door and 20 x 14 overhead. It was $47,000 built by CIA from Morinville. I did the ground work myself, gravel pad. Nice cold storage building. I priced out the package, it was $30,000. CIA built it for $17,000 and done in 5 days, thought that was pretty good.

I did the same building as Curtz through UFA. Was 42 but that was 8 years ago so I'm sure 47-50 now is to be expected.

Height for overhead minimum 14'... that means you need roughly 16' building

I have new tin for one I was going to build.
May have to count what I have & sell it........ one day.
It was for (about ?) 36'+ x 30'+ deep, one pitch roof going from 15' to 12' (?) at the back.

6" gas line pipe for poles.

Go with 16 foot walls and a 14 foot high door. (you said the biggest rv so a 12 foot door may be tight)

Give Penner Construction a call in Olds. They also have a website. I built a 40X60 and 20X60 cold storage attached with them. We also went with 16 foot walls. It was a while ago but I went around to some of their previous customers that I knew and checked out their work. They do a fantastic job and I tried to dig up the price but couldn't find the documents.

I can tell you the posts are put in right and everything is square. I've seen some horrible jobs...out of square and the posts either heaving/sinking or both throughout the year.

Like Bob said above the concrete is pretty expensive but we went with it and I'm glad I did.

42 by 66 by 16 with a full length lean to, insulated, 3 man doors, divider wall, 10 by 12 and 20 by 14 overhead doors with openers, insulated and metal on the inside walls and roof, concrete floor with underfloor heat, and wired, was about $150 000 4 years ago. Finishing the shop nearly tripled the cost from just a pole shed shell.

Yes for sure the finishing can add up! I put white tin on the inside which is really nice and makes things a bit brighter. Then the wiring and lighting, water etc.. Doesn't take long to blow through the 150K.

Yes and I still built it too small!
