Default Ruger M77 Hawkeye Stock advice

I have a Ruger M77 Hawkeye in .204 Ruger and would like to replace the wood stock. I find that I never take it out of the safe because I am more of a synthetic stock guy for hunting. Any advice on what type of stock I should install?

Due to the angled action screw aftermarket options seem to be pretty limited for Rugers. I had a MkII that I always wanted to swap the laminate stock out for something lighter... in the end I ended up selling it and just purchasing a lighter rifle.

IMO you should just use the rifle with its wooden stock, short of that you could try trading it to someone else for a factory synthetic stock. Other than that.. McMillan or Hogue are pretty much your only choices.

Agreed. In my opinion, I cant imagine a scenario to where a Hogue stock is a worthwhile upgrade to whatever it might be replacing. As I stated, just my opinion.
