Default Marlin 336 (30-30) loading gate upgrade

I am looking at a lighter loading gate for my marlin 336 to replace the stiff factory one. I found Ranger Point Precision, but the fees to have it shipped to Alberta is ridiculous (over $100 us for a $42 part....), is there a Canadian company that make a similar product?

thank you

You can file some metal off the stem of the gate to soften the spring... I took off about 50% to get mine pretty much the same as my neighbour's Ranger Point gate. Don't grind it as heat might ruin the temper. You can get the gate out without having to disassemble the action. Lotsa info on the net.

It's nice not getting your fingertips nipped off.
