Default Winchester xpr q

I'm just getting back into hunting after a long break. I'm looking at a xpr in .300 mag, I'm looking for some local feedback.
Thanks.

In reality, the 30-06 xpr shot the smallest single three shot group, using the factory loads that they chose. They tested no other cartridges or loads, and we are talking only the smallest single three shot group.

Thanks for that link. I'm looking at the XPR due to accuracy at the price point, looks like a pretty solid rifle that won't drive me crazy if I rough it up a bit. I was looking at a Tika T3 but would be more worried about the rifle than the hunt....kinda OCD with nicer stuff.

I had a XPR in 300WM, and it was very accurate. Trigger is amazing.

I’ve got a 30-06 XPR picked up in December for $600 w/ Vortex package scope, haven’t hunted with yet just bench shot. Handles recoil real good compared to my old old old 303. A bit on the heavy side and bottom clip isn’t flush with the Barrel is the only negatives I can think of.

When they’re on sale best value gun IMO

No real negatives other than as mentioned the clip protrudes. Mine was the synthetic stock, and would have preferred the walnut.

I picked one up in a gun store out of obscurity. I liked it OK apart from the stock, seems a little plasticity to me.

I cannot stand scoutlook weather, for some reason their hosts just seem like no brainers.
They've also changed their name a few times for reasons unknown.

Anyway,
The xpr is am amazing and accurate rifle. The only downside from my experience was a bit of a rough bolt and the 8-40 scope mount screws - hard to find scope mounts with the non-standard screw sizes. Winchester made some aluminum Weaver style ones that did just fine, but I would have preferred Leupold.

And it was a bit in the heavier side, but not by much.
The magnum calibres also came with a 26"bbl which I think is a bit much for hunting but it's not worth sweating over.

The stock has a nice palm swell and is as plastic-y as the next composite stock.

You will be crushing it with an xpr and a lot of their models have a nice cerakote on the metal.

Can't got wrong
