Default Fixed power scopes

Thinking of getting a fixed power scope to mount on my 338RCM.
With a 20” barrel it’s a good handy rifle and I like walking with it.
Was thinking of 6x fixed power scopes. Was looking for opinions
Also the bit of research I’ve done I haven’t seen a fixed power with any sort of ballistic pled or drop compensation reticle.

Fixed 6 is never a bad choice!
I zero at 200 and check where the plex reticle hits for point of impact

Yes the upsize from fine to thick crosshairs will be one reference point. Just wondering why no ballistic plex? With all the conversations had on ffp vs sfp and the change of magnification having effect on the drop reprsented by each hash mark. A simple fixed power with impact points representing 100,200,300,400 yards would be great

I’ve seen the odd 6x Leupold with a turret , but that’s all I can remember
Probably because most guys think they need more magnification for multiple reticle systems .

My 6 power Leupold has a heavier reticle that is easier to see. They could busy it up with fine stuff but I like it the way it is. It’s a fx3 nice scope except I have to tape the lock ring to keep it in place
