Even though I watched some of it(the car chase) and his verdict, the media will now get one more crack at him for the next week. As mentioned, good riddance and I hope the escalator going down is an express one. The Goldman & Brown families can finally be done with him.

Nothing like Norm Macdonald's views of the killer. Back when you could say stuff.

While I certainly don't celebrate the passing of anyone having to suffer through cancer, this guy was a horrible person of epic proportions. The media circus from the trial birthed the whole sleazy and immoral Kardashian saga that throngs of people follow to this day. This is just the Jerry Springer echelon of society.... What blows my mind is that people and the media pay attention to this garbage, and these people make huge money off of it to boot. The whole thing is completely irrelevant to anything that matters in my small world anyhow.

^couldn't have said this better. I'd never celebrate anyone dying, but can't even pretend to give 1/2 a shiny sh*t about what did/didn't happen to this guy. Little chance the elevator was going up when he signed-off.

Loss to his family. However is a good example of "One is not guilty until you run out of money$$" Will be interesting to see what happens to other guy who just spent $70 million of other peoples money keeping himself Out of Jail.

Agreed. Sooner or later Trudeau’s luck is going to run out.

Sad. Really sad. With OJ gone who is going to keep up the search for the real killer(s)?

While his life definitely degenerated into something despicable, among many other adjectives one can come up with (and rightfully so), there should still be some memory of him being one of the best running backs ever.... in his younger years....

From the top of the world to the bottom of the gutter. I watched the whole trial. The lack of evidence and police misshandling of the case was impressive.

the greatest gift in his life was the ability to run with a football. that was the limit of his existence as homo sapiens. it seems so pointless to me that so many idolized his "talent". this ability required zero problem solving or abstract thought processes so I'm optimistic that maybe, just maybe at some point in the future the human species will look back on this period of time the same way some of us look back at lucy. well, one can dream but it seems so distant.

The good side of OJ....

The Bills drafted Simpson as the first overall pick in 1969, a year after he won the Heisman Trophy while playing at USC. He would go on to be MVP in 1973, and was the league leader in rushing yards multiple times in the 1970s.

Simpson played 11 NFL seasons — nine with the Bills, where he became known as “The Juice” with an offensive line known as “The Electric Company,” and two with the San Francisco 49ers. He won four NFL rushing titles, rushed for 11,236 yards in his career, scored 76 touchdowns and played in five Pro Bowls. He was later inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1985.

When he retired, Simpson held (or shared) the record for seven different stats, according to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. At the time of his death, the 76-year-old still held a few of them.

During the 14-game 1973 season, Simpson became the first back in the NFL to rush for over 2,000 yards — specifically, he recorded 2,003 yards thanks to a 200-yard game in the last game of the season, according to the Bills. That’s the most of any Bills player on record.

In that same season, Simpson recorded an average of 143.1 yards rushing per game, a record that still holds today. Among modern-day players, only Adrian Peterson and Derrick Henry have come close, recording 131.1 yards in 2012, and 126.7 yards in 2020, respectively.
