Default Ice off Cold Lake

Hey guys, thinking of an early summer trip to Cold lake. (Only ice fished there before) Will have a truck/truck camper to stay in and would like to launch the boat, leave in water(moorage) at wherever we re staying. Are there any places that accomadate this? We d like to stay at the prov park but unsure as to what they have for dock space...etc. It can be a pain to shift camp twice daily. Any input of suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

No mooring at provincial park they barely even have enough dock space for loading/unloading.

Marina is probably the only possibility, I believe they have a waiting list for spots though and not sure if they offer anything for weekend warriors.

The launch at the Prov Campground has steel railings and under windy conditions it can be a real bear to load without damage. I know I hit mine and another guy had a new lund and put a big dent in the side. Best bet is to go to the marina in town. People say there are no openings but the few times I asked there were temporary openings. They charge to launch your boat but to me it was well worth it. They even helped me launch my boat. It's a first class facility. I complained to the guy in charge of the prov campground and his reply was, "get some sandpaper and sand the scratch out". A complete nincompoop. I'd like to shove my boat up his you know what!!!!!!
