Default Some happy people catching fish (pic heavy) fishing update

Just figured I would give an update of fishing on my end of the lake, and a few pics of some of the people who have fished in the cabins and their successes ( all pics used w permission )

Access is still very good off Hilliards Bay. We had a nasty wind / snow storm last week which caused some drifting, and was tough going for a day or two, but the road out to Cutbank has packed in really good.

Fishing has been really good, for Jan! I think Jan is consistently the slowest month, but we have been having some really good days. Obviously some much better then others, but everyone has been catching fish, which is great. I am not sure if anything really awesome has come out but I had a few guys catch some walleye in the 58 - 64 cm range, so thats some dandy fish!

Overall I could not be happier with how things are going with the cabins, being my second year into this venture, and only my first year with an overnight renter. I find it SO fulfilling getting people out there and getting them on fish, it honestly brings me so much enjoyment.

So here ya go, enjoy a few pics from over the last five weeks or so!

Hey SafetyD,

No one has gotten any really big pike at the cabins so far. The neighbor boy, about a 10 year, caught a 9 lber on Friday morning out there.

But I have not seen any giants, that's for sure. Typically you catch the bigger pike a lot shallower. We are in 24 - 30 FOW at the cabins.

We are located on the very west side, off Hilliards Bay / Shaws Point.

When we were up there mid day you can catch your limit of pike within a hour nothing bigger than 63cm but they hammered everything at 100mph!
