Default Athabasca Float

I am looking at doing a drift boat float in the next couple weeks down the athabasca for some fishing and hunting. Does anyone have any knowledge of the float on the stretch from Hinton to Whitecourt? Crazy river conditions, or take out and out in points? And info is greatly appreciated!

Buy a "Backroads Map Book" for central Alberta, maybe the northern Alberta book also. Lots of info on "Paddling routes", water conditions, put in and take outs are clearly shown on the maps too.
