Default Full Metal Jacket' actor R. Lee Ermey dies at age 74

I always liked this guy

R. Lee Ermey, a former Marine Corps drill instructor known to millions of moviegoers as the sadistic Gunnery Sergeant Hartman in Stanley Kubrick's "Full Metal Jacket," died Sunday morning, according to his longtime manager. He was 74.
In a statement posted on Twitter, Bill Rogin said Ermey had died due to complications from pneumonia.

Semper Fi, Gunny. Godspeed

Hard to believe Full Metal Jacket is 30 years old. Still a great war movie and Emery took it to the next level. Pretty bad when you have to explain your improv to the director and tell him what a reach around is.

In the Canadian Forces, you cannot swear at (such as the use of the F or CS words) nor strike a recruit.
