Has anyone been on this week. I’m thinking of driving up tomorrow for the day . Would it be better to park at the boat launch and walk out or can ya park at kinasoo and walk in there. I’m not driving out at least for a few more weeks. Thanks in Advance

You can park at the day campground or campground at frenchmans bay, walk or quad out.

The ice thickness is very inconsistent right now, there is only 6” of measured ice in front of the Marina and Provincial Park where we’ve been fishing the last couple of days. There were about 6 vehicles on the ice in Frenchman Bay on Wednesday where apparently there is 12” plus, thankfully the upcoming week of cold weather should thicken the ice up a bit but it will be a few weeks before I personally brave the lake in my truck. I did not measure the ice thickness close to shore to see about parking on the ice but imagine it’s probably closer to the 12” range.
