I have a number of browning o/u & semi shotguns all of which I quite like but wanted something light and synthetic stocked for pheasant hunting in wet, bush busting conditions.
So this summer bought a franchi affinity 3 synthetic black in 20 gauge. Advertised weight is 6 lbs. which is confirmed in my kitchen scale. In 20 gauge only available with 26” barrel. Feels very close in fit to what My browning A5 synthetic does. Took it Twice for 50 rounds of sporting clays. Seems to point rather swing. After these 50 round sporting clays still very clean. No problems with ejection on sporting clay loads or field loads.
Some reviews have noted affinity 3 being hard to load, but mine is ok for loading and all handling has been good. Still a bit tight to assemble the forearm, but getting better with use.
Took it pheasant hunting on opening day, 2 shots 2 pheasants.
Perfect gun for me.
