The Hitmen finally showed up to play tonight! I am watching the Pens Caps game right now. Pitt does not look in to it so far!! Lucky bounce kind of killed everything.

Boston is done. Canes are playing awesome hockey now and got into TT's quirky little brain. That is B-town's Achillie's heel. Ward has been '06ish himself.........

Pens WILL take that series. They have been dominant, but are starting to figure out Varlamov. Fedorov's inury tonight will affect the Caps.

Van will get through as Towes is playing hurt.

Wings.............well, they're the Wings..........'nuff said.

Pitt looked much better last night. I was worried after the first that they were just going to give the series to the Caps. I thought Crosby looked possessed when he had the puck on his stick. Took quite a beating down low but always seemed to still come out with the puck. Malkin finally got going and was much better. He was still not at 100% but much better. I look for a huge game from him next game. He was skating and controlling the puck with more confidence last night, now he just needs to add puck distribution to the mix and he will be back. I found it funny that for most of the second and third while the play was in the Caps end you do not even notice that Ovechkin is on the ice. He appeared even more one dimensional than I thought he was last night. He will be better next game as well.

That was a tough loss to swallow. I can't stand that passive game they played in the third though. I realize that until Havlat scored the Hawks really didn't have any scoring chances that period but if you allow the game to played in your end for the most of the period then you're playing fire. In game 3 when they had the lead they continued to pressure Chicago's D, almost always sending in 2 forecheckers. Last night, the sent one at the most, sometimes none.

Oh well, we knew this was going to be a tough series. It is even now and I think the Canucks have been the better team up till now. Saturday's game is huge now.

boy, the tension and insults (good-natured mostly) sure declined when the Oilers missed the playoffs and even more when the Flames were eliminated. Sorta miss it. Mostly comments about teams we don't care that much about anymore.

Apologies to Canuck lovers, but it's true.

Not just Varlomov, where was Ovechkin?? Bad thing is apparently he can only show up at home!! Washington has home ice so Pitt needs a big game tomorrow again to steal one in Washington. If Pitt does not play the way they did in the last 2 Ovechkin will beat them tomorrow. In my eyes Crosby once again showed why he is the better than Ovechkin tonight. He has been there every game for his team so far no matter what! Ovechkin is suppose to be the goal scorer and Crosby the playmaker, Crosby has matched his goal scoring all series! I think Crosby has stepped up to the plate in a much bigger fashion than Ovechkin so far in this years playoffs. If I am not mistaken he has been a game star in every game so far on CBC.

Why wasn't Ovechkin suspended for his knee on knee hit on Gonchar??

How about Stall and the Canes taking it to Boston???

Is it just me or does Crosby look silly in his little beard???

I think it all depends on which camera view you look at it from.......

The one angle looks really bad, however one angle looks like he had him lined up and Gonchar tried jumping out of the way, leaving just his leg left there to take the hit. It didn't look like Ovechkin put his knee out at all. Just my view of it anyhow.
