You are right on that!! Keep in mind Horcoffs contract is not a tough contract at all. It is actually a ludicrous contract that would be IMPOSSIBLE to get rid of on anyone in the league with a brain! If he gets bumped down from the first line next year Edmonton could have the most expensive second or third line in the league with him and Penner combining for 11.5 on their own!

And who would blame him, what a rotten couple of ORGS them Sens and Leafs are now, Heatly is a native Calgarian so he could end up here but I think wherever he ends up he will be Dynamite next year he still has a lot left in the tank I believe.....

I agree 100% about Heatley! If he does move watch for him to tear it up next year wherever he goes. I believe he is the kind of player that needs a change of scenery every so often to heat him up again. He has more than enough left in the tank and if moved to the right team may push for 50 again next year.

A d-man will be the major part of the Heatley deal. If Edmonton or Calgary were involved they would be asking for the likes of Phaneuf, Visnovsky, Souray or Gilbert.

I agree Goob. I think the Flames might get him straight across for Phaneuf but the oil would likely have to throw in something to sweeten the pot with one of the three you mentioned. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out. I think it'll take some time though.

I have a feeling they will try to have it done by draft day or on draft day. That way if whatever they get for him is less salary they may have some cash to play with for free agents. Keep in mind that by having Heatley say he wants out I think it makes him less valuable. If teams know he wants out they may hold off on a huge trade offer and the Sens will have to settle for the best offer whoever that may be. Very similar to the Pronger incident in Edmonton!

No way the Sens trade straight across for Frankengoof...they would want way more. People have been talking Gilbert and Horc for Heater..which is a non starter as Horc has a NMC just like Heatley. But with the draft and July 1 Free Agency looming..its gonna be fun to speculate.....

Yep - exciting game tonight. I hope the 7th is just as much of a nail biter. &th game OT would be the perfect ending (well, as long as the Pens were to win that is).

I thought Fleury made some monster saves tonight when he was needed. The wings pressed hard at the end.

Ain't nuthin' like a game 7 for the cup! Anything can happen, and I'm rooting for the Pens.

I'd love to see Heatly in Edmonton, but there's alot of teams in the west. Who knows. My former groundman played against him up until Junior and they were good friends. Dany really missed Calgary, and there was no doubt about that. He'd make a fine trigger-man for Hemsky.

Hey-I'm not saying I would trade Heatley straight across for Dion but I don't think it's that far-fetched to say Ottawa would. Like goob said, they probably aren't going to get what he's worth...and Phaneuf is still young yet. Us Canuck and Oiler fans may not want him on our teams but there are plenty of teams out there that do.

Yep - I could see him scoring 50 again with Hemsky feeding him. My guess is that Tambi will put in a big offer for him.

As I said earlier I think he will push for 50 again no matter where he goes.

Unless you drive with him.

Too bad MacT wasn't still coaching in Edm. Heatley would be a perfect fit.

OK, got the nastiness out for the day.

Cheap shot Okie....bad form

I have a gut feeling that Bettmen is not going to have a good day today in court. The way the Judge has cut down how the NHL does business and questioning the leagues ethics and backroom deals you have to wonder if Bettmen is going to have to roll over and take it before the Judge orders him to

Game day is finally here!! As if the Penguins did not have enough superstitions up to now, I wonder how much they are playing the fact that tonight's game is the 87th game of the playoffs this year. Hope it is a great game tonight!!!

You guys hear the rumour about Pronger for Jack Johnson and a 5th?

http://my.thescore.com/nhlrumours/ar...-5th-pick.aspx

Sportnet is saying that it is being denied - that maybe just because the trade can't be made official until tomorrow. Interesting to see if it pans out.

I'm hoping the same thing. I, like Tree, have had a feeling all along like it is the Pens' year. I definitely won't be surprised if the Wings win - they're the natural choice with all the experience they have...but I just think the torch is about to be passed.

Pens win 3-2.

I have the Karma going bigtime today. I won an unwinnable court case today representing myself with no witnesses for and 4 against with just the tiniest shred of evidence! When the judge left, the prosecutor said, "It's your lucky day.", I said, "One more win to go today. Go Pens Go!" He is a sore loser!

Enjoy the game boys 'n girls (BB). TTYL.
