Default Objective height vs shooter comfort

I'm in the process of picking a scope for my new X bolt, the scope I'm interested in has a 56 mm objective, doing the math it sure puts the crosshairs way up there. Being that it has a 30mm tube is there any chance of medium X lock rings working? Is the 1/10" in ring height between medium and high even be noticeable ?

Cabelas says to run the mediums up to 50mm and the highs over 50mm.

Ain't no free lunch. If you run that large of an objective you may want to look at an aftermarket cheek rest as well.

Yes .100" in extra ring height is noticeable.

I agree. All my guns with 56mm objective other than my Cooper 280AI have adjustable cheek. It fit with medium Tally's. But there is not much clearance.
