H380, I'm up far and away from any cattle operations but why do you say that?

My Grandpa used to say never kill a porcupine. They are the only animal in the bush that you can kill easily with a stick.

Where I'm at I have a 1 tree every 2 miles so them porcs get whacked every chance they get seen. And trust me there is a surprisingly large population around for the amount of trees we have. They kill the tree...

My Son in Law had to pull quills out of his dog’s face again a few days ago. Cattle get the quills in their hoofs and legs......bad stuff. Great critters to have in the bush for survival situations but terrible to have in farmland.

With dogs around, how do I get one into my livetrap?

Sorry maybe I was a little blunt , but after pulling upwards of 300 out of a cow and lots from dogs and a couple horses I have no use for the spiny little buggars.

Where I'm at if you want to remove porcs just set coyote snares the usual 10 to 14" off the ground. The porcs have ample room to sneak under but for some reason they try and climb thru. And well they can be active when caught(But only in recommended dispatch time period). It's ok tho apparently there is a guy on this forum that is buying porc hair
