Default Early season elk hunting dates?

Hello everyone. I was planning a elk hunting trip this year. I have never hunted them during the last week of August so I am wondering if they are calling back at all or coming into calls that early in the rut. The dates I could make work are. Aug 24th-Sept 1st (one day of scouting before the opener) and the other dates are Sept 10th-17th

I called in shot at, and missed a 350 bull on the 25 of August. The elk were checking out the competition. It was cool and rainy weather.

Elk are already very active last week of August. Just go camp in Jasper, they will keep you awake all night last week of August.

I find it Varys a little area to area depending on pressure. My one spot is very heavily hunted and I have more success early before they have been chased other area is all private land with no hunting pressure and I have best luck 17-25 of September.
