Default Archery antelope rut time frame

Hello I am hoping that I will pull my tag this year for the archery season for antelope. I am wondering what days would be best to head down there. Sept 10th-18th or
Sept 21st-26th. I have only hunted them during the rifle season so not sure when the best time is too decoy them in is

The season is usually over on the 23rd I think, the last 10 days are the best for decoys. BUT all the antelope hunters have tried to decoy the heck out of them by that time... that makes them wary.

My experience from when you could get an archery tag every other year....

Bucks will start to run in and challenge a decoy starting around the 15th.
Before then, results can be slow and very sporadic.
Peak decoying days have been 15-23.
As Lefty described, they can get decoy shy depending on hunting pressure.

It's quite surprising how quickly the rut heats up, peaks, and ends....

Summit, if those dates are what you have to work with, go with 10-18.
The extra time will give you time to learn the decoying game and you will get into the action.

You’re right about the shortness of the active part of the rut. There’s less than a handful of really good days.

And Summit's schedule misses them.

Default prime time

I started decoying in 1990 and looking at the dates of my P+Y certificates I found that all my harvests were between Sept. 12 and 16th. When I get drawn again for probably my last time I will hunt that time period again.
