Weird week
MTL missed a 20 yard field goal for a jaw dropping loss
Calgary came back to win despite losing 24-zip at half time
Elks game must have set a record for stupid penalties, both sides could use some anger management, the ref's could leave the nylon in their pockets calling every minor sometimes puzzling infraction is killing the game.

Best wishes to Dan Clark for a speedy recovery, a true warrior

Our STAMPS pulled it out. I still question the play where they took the ball from the ball carrier and went in for a TD. Surprised the play wasn't blown dead cause his forward advance was stopped. Maybe cause no one had ahold of him and he could have run to the side. No matter we won. GO STAMPS GO
The west is looking good this year. So far

My young son and I were at Commonwealth for the Riders vs Elks.

Disappointing crowd but not nearly as bad as it looked on TV. Announced attendance was 24'000.

We had a blast and the Elks fans as well as the Rider fans were all having a good time.

Nothing beats being in the stands jawing back and forth with the opposing fans.

Once again, this Rider defense is scary good. //S//

Riders figured out Montreal real good.
Hamilton fans got the disappointment of the week.

Riders got it together in the second half. 163 yds rushing. Marshalls late pick for 90 yd TD finished off the Al's. At the wrath of my Rider buddies I still don't think Fjardo is taking us to the promised land.

The fumble for 6 in the Elks game will haunt Evens forever called his own number once too often

Rider O line was disappointing giving little protection to the QB

A win none the less

The standing so far 13 wins for the West 2 in the East ??

I tend to agree with you. Fajardo is a bit of an enigma. He wins a lot of games ugly, in spite of some glaring deficiencies. I'm starting to think his success throwing the ball in 2019 had a lot to with both he and Shaq Evans being unknowns at the time. Defensive coordinators were a bit slow to figure him out and contain the run element to his game. He straight up cannot read defenses and/or throw the long ball well. The timing isn't there. He's dropping floaters into triple coverage that should probably be getting picked off, and receivers are having to completely stop running because he can't hit them in stride. Last year he threw the receivers under the bus talking about not having anyone that can play the 50/50 ball well, but at this point it is very evident that is on him. Shaq and Duke are the ones seeing most targets down the field and he has a completion rate of less than 50% for both. He's basically just playing hail mary down the sidelines. As he ages and his ability to keep plays alive with his legs starts slipping he is going to have to do a better job of picking defenses apart. Right not the team can win with him being a game manager, but as soon as the defense has a rough game all bets are off. Even the special teams having issues last night was enough to worry me, but the defense played well enough to make up for those mistakes and the offense being anemic.

I also have to say I thoroughly enjoyed Hamilton coughing up a winnable game in the fashion they did. I shouldn't be happy seeing a western opponent pick up any points against the east, but I'm ok with seeing Hamilton never win another game while Simoni Lawrence is on their roster.

A WIN is a WIN, 3-1 baby //S//

I agree with this assessment. I was in attendance and the crowd was very loud and full of energy!

The Nick Marshall pick six was insanely loud.

Tough loss for Argo's. If they made that convert woulda bin a tie.........they still could of managed to lose it.
If i coached the Argo's first guy i would punt would be Banks . Always sulking and a first class sheet disturber.

Looks like the Elks may have to give out free tickets to everybody if they want fans in the stands. That had to make some folk fear for their jobs.

The Esks are in tough shape on so many levels right now. Wilkie and many others still around from the hay days are just shaking their heads right now. Not to mentions forever fans.

Bombers need to pick up their game they got lots of injuries, they've won four but they haven't played like they've won4.

Due to his knee injury Cody wants to play the pocket except it collapses before he stands up the O line needs to shape up four sacks is unacceptable.

I don't think I've ever seen a 25 yard penalty before?
Garrett Marino's low hit on Massoli was a dumb move, a hit below the knee is never acceptable even if the QB has the ball, you can bet the CFL will be reviewing that play very closely his future is on the line.

It was a green win

GO RIDERS!

Yikes! what a performance, the Bombers started strong and continued through the game, BC played a good game they were just overwhelmed.

Hope Sayles had lots of ketchup to help get the CROW down.

The two-time defending Grey Cup champions logged 429 yards against a B.C. defence that had been averaging just 244 yards allowed per game, one day after Lions defensive back Marcus Sayles referred to his former CFL club's offence as “vanilla,” and said B.C. felt that it could beat Winnipeg “pretty bad” on Saturday

What a crazy way for the stamps to lose that game. What a heartbreaker for them.
