Default Is ammo safe to shoot

Got some ammo from my brother that’s been in the garage in Sask for 10 years or more where it gets to -30 is it still safe to use? Thanks Bill.

Take it to the range and let us know.

What’s the condition of the ammo?

Heat is more of an issue than cold, I wouldn't be too concerned unless it has visible corrosion.

Heat and moisture are what causes problems. 10 years old is basically new.

I shot several boxes of imperial factory 308 that sat in the same conditions (in the garage), and it was 1950s manufacture. No issues.

Its Saskatchewan. Never above zero, no moisture in the air.

What could go wrong?

Years ago when it was common to leave rifle and shot shells in front seat of truck year round with guns as well. Sometimes I would get a dud or one that fired but didn't really go bang or make any power
