This ruling is basically the same as the RCMP stretching the rules around Mag capacities on .50 Beowulf and River 10/22 mags. This needs to stop.

And electronic petition will do nothing.
Hell old school petitions do nothing unless the presiding government chooses to even listen. The federal Liberals won’t, BTW. Think Bill C-68!
The best petition is the ballot box, IMO.
Join a party, join your riding association, get involved in the policy conventions, drive it🙃 from within and make it an election issue.

stupid is as stupid does
Talk about ironic.
I was watching Border security last night on TV. It was an episode from 2017. One of the segments dealt with some guys from Haiti who were bringing fruit home to Canada that was x-rayed and was deemed suspicious.
The CBSA agent pulls out his one handed opening centrifugal assisted pocket knife to cut open the fruit!
How does a CBSA agent confiscate his own knife?

Yes they’re still legal to own and use. The CBSA just decided they wouldn’t let them in the country anymore unless your a business.

Yes you can.
The CBSA is acting on a ruling the CITT made regarding the importation of these knives only.
And...signed and passed along.

Do you have a link that confirms businesses are exempt?

I only know what I’ve read on bladeforums.com regarding how knife shops are still bringing in their orders. Nothing from the CBSA and I’m not suggesting you can order it to your “business” and they won’t confiscate it.

Bump up for awareness.
Just one more erosion of your freedoms as I see it. The more people get involved the more we can demonstrate that we do not support this initiative, nor further encroachment on your personal freedoms.

I thought this was well done. Although, I think they could have identified many more user groups other than Hunters, Outdoorsmen, and EMS.
Let's face it, the general public isn't too excited about helping Hunters enjoy our hobby. I could see the CBSA relaxing the rules for EMS, but continue to stick it to the rest of us...

I Totally Agree, Dick ... you hit the nail on the head !
I continue to be blown away by the number of people here on the AOF who waste their time
with on-line petitions and polls that have no legal weight, value, or consequence.
I'm not sure, but maybe it's the 'Placebo Effect' ... it doesn't accomplish anything, but it's easy
and free, and it somehow makes them feel better.
Go Figure
