Default Snaring this season.

For all you gentleman that are out snaring coyotes this year. How’s it going. Any signs of mange or shoulder mites in your area? So far I’ve only caught one coyote with mange, and no mites so far. Coyotes are in really good condition in my area. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all you trappers and snaremen out there.

They are looking good in my old spots. A couple of the new baits they can use some thinning.

I haven’t caught any with mange or mites and I got a real nice fox the other day that I am getting tanned to keep. I have caught 2 coyotes just shy of 40lbs too.

I shouldn’t have brought this topic up. Jinxed myself maybe. Caught 4 more today, but one had mange, and one had shoulder mites. Too bad.

No worries, I caught my first four of the season today, didn’t mean to check yet but had to haul a calf into a hot location, coyote #4 had mange.

Funny eh? Only getting my first on Dec 18? It’s an off year…. And I’m kinda lame!

That’s a dandy looking dog right there. Too bad every one couldn’t be like that. I caught number 100 yesterday, and have had 2 with mange and 1 with mites. I’ve also been snaring the same bait sites for over 10 years now.
