Now our Alberta air is being sold
So I see there is an entrepreneurial Alberta company bottling and selling Alberta's fresh air. And it isn't cheap. 30 bucks for 8 liters of fresh air from Banff. And they are selling in places with high air pollution, like China.
So this company is selling Alberta air and now pays a business tax on those profits. So that means our Alberta air is starting to be exploited and taxed.
Does anyone think this concept is over the edge a bit or is it just me? Could be the start of fresh air taxes on top of carbon taxes.

Thats a great idea to sell, our air is already taxed "Carbon Tax", might as well get others to add some to our tax base as well. Not like they get to keep our air, we will get it back someday.

Went to the Burgess Shale with a Japanese guy carrying similar oxygen. Apparently quite common over there. We thought he was going to have a heart attack part way up.

The old time underground coal miners would try and send a young rookie to go to the entry and get a can of fresh air. That and giving the rookie his first chew of snuff. Then having him pick up something heavy so he would swallow some of it and turn green.
I bet they never thought someone would start selling those cans of fresh air.

They've actually been doing this since 2014.
Hey, if you can make money from it, go for it.
And realistically the 'fresh air' tax is worrying about impossibilities.
The carbon tax (which I think is bogus as well) is supposed to help us clean up the effects of burning fossil fuels and coming up with a cleaner fuel source, because it does damage the environment (though not as much as the lefty loonies would have you believe).
Don't think anyone has proven that fresh air is bad and we have to tax it to improve it in some way.

That's it, to help me cover off the new proposed plastic tax, I'm going to rinse out any pop bottles and drill the caps and add a tire valve and pump them up with my bicycle pump. $10 a bottle of fresh country air. Actually, I may have to adjust the price based on cost of production, so don't quote my $10 price point. Dragons Den, here I come ... Saving the planet one pop bottle at a time.

If you ran a hose in a loop pumping B.C.air into Alberta and then back into B.C. , B.C. would be protesting that Alberta is polluting B.C.

And if they did, just say “oh yes a Dodge dually drove by as I was collecting the air one morning. Here! Here’s a bottle for 1/2 price. Sorry for your inconvenience “
