Default Sept 1st opener

Wishing everyone a safe successful bow season. May your arrows fly true.

There's something different about taking down a deer or an elk with a bow.
At close range.

It's hard to explain, but it's different just the same.

My best guess is becuase it's so close, you "feel the presants of the animal".

In your face, right there.

Almost overwhelming is the feeling at the time.

You and him, right there, at this moment.

Just like that.

Best of luck to all who hunt the woods this fall.

Heading out for 3 days this week. Targeting mule deer but apparently there is a decent elk herd in the property as well!

Learned a lot last year which I will be applying this year. Still going for my first archery bull... been only 5 years in the making but oh well. Hard to explain the joy I get chasing elk with my bow. That alone is good enough

Good luck everyone
