Default Sako 85 .223 to 6.5 G? Possible and who?

https://youtu.be/yAk1Euy1HyA

Would be one classy, fun, shoot all the time rig, in 6.5 Grendel. The little xs action. Anyone know enough about sako 85 and or .223 to 6.5 G (open up bolt face for ppc etc) mag mods if needed? Probably too much work to do right or no? If not who would do this conversion right?

Call henery Remple he has made a few custom rifles for me and always did a great job, doing work on a 2500$ rifle as a donor will eat up a lot of money before you even get the conversion started.

I use Henry for most everything, would see how he feels about this one of course...if I decide it’s feasible. The cost would be one thing to consider for sure but a great platform. Perfect world they just chamber it in the factory, sako is slow to get the news though.

My first rifle build was a sako a7. I had the rifle for years and finally had enough of the poor first gen plastic stock. So I swapped that and then replaced the barrel with a Lilja I think the total build cost on that one was about 2000$ not including glass or the cost of the original donor a7. The other tikka rem700 builds I have done have turned out to be just as accurate and those builds were 1500-2000 all parts no glass. In the future I won’t do any more sako builds from scratch just from the performance and cost savings of the other actions.

I had a first gen a7 that I adored also, 270wsm, Henry bedded, braked, shot lights out. Lost interest in the magnums, loved how it felt and shouldered. Have always wanted an 75/85 with the right cartridge. As the a7 was the step up from Tikka T3, the 85 the last stop. Some day.

Would be a sweet setup in a Sako 85. In 2008 I built a 338-06AI off a new Sako 75 Greywolf that was a 25-06. Love this rifle
