Not sure if this has been mentioned here recently, but what are your thoughts? Will he split the vote and let the libs get another majority? If you like what he's standing for eg. small interest groups NOT having to much control over trade negotiations, is it worth supporting him? I see this new party like the Wildrose party, necessary to keep the PC party in check. Personally id like to see a real Conservative party in parliament and would probably vote for him.

We can discuss him so far as it relates to his firearms policy as that is related to the board, but otherwise politics topics are verboten.

I find it unfortunate that as he will be splitting the vote it will be to the detriment of firearms owners as we might well lose everything in the restricted category if the Libs get a 2nd term federally. How does that help the average firearm owner? He would never win enough of a majority that could get them back for us once they're gone.
