I had heard yesterday that an easterly wind pushed slushy ice into Shaws Point area last couple of days.....but I cannot confirm. Hopefully all gone as we are off to Shaw's and we have a "New to Us" boat to get out on.

Ice is pushed off the east end... for now. Since there is not outlet at the west end it will stay there until it rots, or the wind changes. Plenty of folks who have been here much longer than I claim that when the ice gets pushed west it never comes back to the east end... it sounds pretty anecdotal but from what I've seen over the decade or so I've lived on the lake, this is generally true.

The bite has been pretty slow this last week at the east end.

Maybe misunderstood. Winds blowing from the east to west pushed ice conditions into the west end of the lake...(Shaws Point / Hilliards Bay)

Pretty much what I said is it not? I was agreeing with you, and contradicting the information posted by Jamie, which is not exactly correct. For the benefit of the OP.
