Default Boat Cover

I had a couple of the snaps break off on my boat Cover last year. Does anyone know a good place to either get the snaps fixed or else to get a kit I can use to fix them myself?

Any boat or marine store should have the kits. The kits will include the button and socket snaps, and also have the tools which would be referred to as a snap tool and die set.

If it needs more than just the snaps replaced. Canvasmart or similar place can make the repair

I seem to have a never ending battle with snaps (Princecraft snaps seem to pull off constantly). i took my cover into Calgary Awning to repair a few rips and they placed the snaps at the same time, any local awning shop would likely do the same.

I do keep a number of snaps and the tool with my boat so that i can replace in the field as necessary. iBoats has kits that come with a large number of quality snaps, the Bass pro kit is OK as well.

I didn't want all those snaps screwed into my wooden boat, so had a custom cover made that has a ratchet strap that synches around the entire boat below the gunwales.
