Yes there are rainbows in there, but I'm not sure how much stock is left and if there is natural recruitment (of 2N) in sufficient numbers to sustain Rainbows in that lake.
The world record(s) came out of there by a couple of our very own members here.
The world records will stand for a long long time. Those Rainbows were huge.
The record fish originated from a school of genetic 3N (sterile triploid) trout that escaped from a hatchery.
These fish grow to amazing sizes, far beyond natural 2N Rainbows.
Unfortunately that escape happened about 20 years ago, and the life cycle of the 3N Rainbows is about 20-25 years, and because they are sterile, there will never be another monster like that unless these amazing circumstances ever happen again.
Maybe they are continuing to stock Rainbows? I'm not 100% sure.
