Default Early season river fishing?

Until July last year I never really fished in the river much, other then a hand full of times. So I started in low water levels. With the ice going to be off soon got me thinking, is the fishing better or worse with high water levels? Or does it effect different species differently? Getting excited to go fishing in the jet boat!

When she's high and murky, chucking lures ain't the greatest. Bait fishing can be great in murky water. You'll do just as good bait fishing in murky water for sturgeon, suckers and burbot. Pike and walleye are more of a sight hunter but can be caught as well.
