I’m glad Lucic is gone, I never like him when he played for Boston, he always stood out in the ice as a slow dummy.

I’m guessing they will pay the difference. 250k. That is the rumour on Twitter. 250k and a conditional draft pick. In any case, glad Lucic is gone.

It's a nothing trade.
Both guys are so slow it defies logic.
Refresh for the fan bases in each city.

As a Calgary fan, I couldn't stand Neal's arrogance...and I'm sure Bill Peters (Three Hills, AB old school boy) couldn't take his sh*t anymore either.

Flames get a draft pick & Oilers cover some of Lucic's contract. Early look Calgary wins, the proof will be whether Lucic stays a Flame or which player produces on the ice.

Look at it this way, Lucic was here for how many years, 6 goals all year, now we have a new guy, give him a chance to shoot 50 goals with the right guys

Do you really think he's got 10 years left in him to get to that 50 goal total?

Both teams are obviously not worried about facing the player they just traded to a team they will face the most. Lol

Default Lucic

Just curious if the flames will have to protect Lucic in the Seattle expansion draft being he has a no movement clause,or the contract being so bad Seattle wouldn’t bother ?? Just curious as how this works thanks again to those who reply

Fan 960 thinks there's a gentleman's agreement to leave Looch unprotected. Seattle will probably follow Vegas's lead, Looch headed home!

He had to waive his NMC to get traded to Calgary so I think that might have gone the way of the dodo bird, BUT, his agent is quoted as saying Treliving agreed to honour it.

If so...YES he has to be protected unless he reciprocates and waives it.

Heard on the radio that Neal and McDavid are good friends. Maybe if Neal hits the treadmill to play on a line with McDavid occasionally it'll work out in our favour if there's any chemistry there.
