Default New training tool

With the rising cost of ammo I’m glad to have picked this up, at $20 for 500 .177 pellets it’s a real cheap way to spend all day shooting. It’s incredibly unforgiving so I’m going to need a lot of range time practicing. Ugh, that’s a garbage pic for a nice rifle.

So if one has a pellet riffle under 500 fps .
Can one shoot it legally in his back yard with a good 4x8 sheet of plywood for a back stop ?

For that you need to look at your city/town/rural bylaws, most will say it is illegal to discharge a projectile within the city/town limits (so it covers off a number of different sports). I’ve shot pellet pistols in my basement knowing full well someone in a uniform may come knocking.

I close blinds when I’m handling any firearm in the house, it’s more noise level than anything. Sub 500fps pellet guns are pretty quite generally, even some full full power are quieter than others but I don’t have the opportunity to listen outside the house when I’m shooting.

Anyone who doesn’t think their neighbors are nosy is naive.
