James Neal: Warrior

MAF: Best play of his career.

VGK: Fast. Tenacious. Relentless. Underdogs.

I predict the ‘Ghosts of Penguins Past’ shall break Ovi’s heart once again...

I’m ok with that.

The whole bloody team has no quite, relentless pursuit, work effort, throw in a top 5 goalie in the world and well a coach can only smile

Just amazing to watch, don't watch the puck folks, 90 percent of the game is played away from the puck, watch what they do defensively and offensively, just a bunch of beauties.

That goalie is as hot as they come! Good for him and Tampa!

P.S. Screw Tampa! Go Caps!

Jebus the knights are just relentless.......it’s fun to watch them outwork team after team. I can’t wait to see how they match up in the finals and as an expansion team full of guys who weren’t protected and practically left out there for Vegas to grab lol I hope they win the cup

Indeed they are. I am leaning towards changing my prediction to Winnipeg loosing in five, but I will stick to six. Still hope it will be the Caps since cheering for the Jets is now pretty useless.

Vegas and Caps in the Final. Wow! Glad to see Ovi is finally getting his shot....but still love the Cinderella season Vegas has had. Hope it's going to be a barn burner series!

I have no skin in the game, I just want to see six or seven great games of hockey, maybe some OT sudden death heart stopping action....i want hockey fans to be winners in this unlikely Final.

It was over in a minute...neutral zone puck man separation, turn over, quick pass and a snipe....that's when I knew but Vegas is a new animal.

That's what I'm looking for as well.

For the first time in decades I'm excited for a Stanley Cup Final to start! Looking forward to seeing how Vegas kicks this thing off on Monday!

There are 29 GM in the league right now who should be really quite embarrassed.

Gonna be a great final. I might actual watch a few games this year. Usually I'm burnt out by this point and there are so many other things to do this time of year.

Vegas management deserves a ton of credit for assembling a heck of a team, loaded with character.

I have no problem seeing WSH win the cup though. Not many people on the planet love the game of hockey more than that big Russian, and he's earned the right to play for a cup. Looks to be a good leader as well.

I bet it goes 7 games...I take Caps in 7.

Gotta go with Vegas now.

I tend to agree with you, and while Holtby did have back to back shut outs against Tampa (Stamkos and Kucherov, where were you??)....i still personally think that Fleury is the better goalie, and he seems to be having fun, in the zone every game. But I can't predict a winner in this series. Could go either way.

Absolutley...LOL...I wouldn't bet my life on this final, let alone even put money on it....Holtby looked very shaky with all the rebounds he let out in those shut outs...BUT, the Caps have more scoring power than Vegas but can they beat Fleury...

Haven't been this excited for a SCF in ages. Happy with either result.

I agree...I wont be disappointed regardless of who wins. When Ovi came in the league I actually hated him. I thought he was an arrogant millionaire but watching him over the years, he loves to play the game which is rare these days....Not a Caps lover but want him to win for once....

Wow. Game one of the Final, and Vegas puts on a pre-game show that is pure Vegas. If a little weird. Dwarfed any Grey Cup half time show I've ever seen. I'm a little gob smacked by it, but here's hoping the hockey is as Epic as that show!

Vegas draws first blood on pp. Maybe that whole 'Flight of the Valyrie' Wagnerian Opera pre game show got them into it...or it could just be a hockey game...
